White Cane Awareness Day at the Minnesota State Capitol
Join us at the Minnesota State Capitol for White Cane Awareness Day, a celebration of independent travel for Minnesotans who are blind, DeafBlind, or have low vision.
The day honors the white cane as both a practical mobility tool and a symbol of autonomy first recognized nationally in 1964.
Hosted by State Services for the Blind. MCD will be onsite with a table.

- Time: 9:30 am–noon
- Location: Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda & Grounds, 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155
- Theme: Transit. Celebrating independent travel, getting around our communities, and getting from place to place.
Schedule
- 9:30–10:15 am: Resource tables and social time in the Rotunda
- 10:15–11:00 am: Program with proclamation and speakers in the Rotunda
- 11:00 am–12:00 pm: Transportation activities on the Capitol grounds
